The KODAK Image Station In-Vivo F and FX systems, available immediately, feature cooled CCD camera technology and selectable multi-wavelength illumination for sensitive, quantitative imaging of luminescent, fluorescent, and radiographic labeled biomolecules in vivo. The Image Station In-Vivo FX system also provides an integrated digital x-ray imaging source and a phosphor based radiographic imaging screen enabling digital radiography. By precisely co-registering anatomical x-rays of tissues, organs and whole animals with near-IR, isotopic or luminescent optical imaging modalities, a significant improvement in anatomical localization of molecular signals is achieved.

“Kodak’s Image Station In-Vivo FX and F systems represent a significant milestone in our strategy to become a leader in molecular imaging” said Shahram Hejazi, General Manager of Kodak’s Molecular Imaging Systems group. With true 16-bit imaging performance, 4-million pixel resolution, a 10x optical zoom, and comprehensive image analysis capability, the new Image Station In-Vivo imaging systems produce high performance molecular imaging results for the widest range of labels and sample formats on an easy to use imaging platform.

Both systems feature the KODAK Animal Management Center that provides an enclosed, animal friendly environment for multi-modal imaging of up to four mice simultaneously, and KODAK Molecular Imaging software for quantitative image analysis and multi-modal image overlay capability.

"Development of innovative preclinical in vivo imaging systems provides us with valuable experience and insight as we pursue our clinical molecular imaging strategy" said Kevin Hobert, president of Kodak’s Health Group.
